HIDevolution are offering 3920XMs in their M17x (Installed by HIDevolution). The M18x has a larger cooling system for the 3920XM (Extra Heatpipe).

Will their be insufficient cooling in the M17x for the 3920XM? If not, is there room for overclocking? :p

The 3820QM & 3720QM can be OCed by 400Mhz (+4 on each multiplier). You'd only want more if you're an extreme benchmark enthusiast.. So do you really need it?

There is room for overclocking but temps can get high. Yes, the M18x is far superior in cooling the CPU, but if you're gaming or video editing, let's say 4.4Ghz on all cores, that is manageable on the M17x. But full load like rendering and editing, you'll need max fans, some auxiliary cooling.. And very good paste job. :)
