Simple Question: Is it possible (and watchable) for 2 or more people to watch a 3D movie on a R3/R4 M17x?

    Thanks!

All of the people viewing the screen must be wearing glasses for the 3d effect. As far as the maximum amount that can watch at once, I am under the impression that the number of people does not matter as long as they all have an appropriate viewing angle and are wearing the glasses.

That being said, you may have to sit uncomfortably close together to get the maximum effect while using a laptop screen.

Glasses are, of course, understandable. :)

To add a bit more clarity to my question- What angles are watchable i.e. do you need to be exactly perpendicular to the screen for the 3D effect? Or, can you be 15 degrees..20 degrees off center? This question has more to do with the quality of the screen, then actual hardware setup.

    Nice Link Here

This pretty much answers my question, although I am always open to hearing other peoples opinions.

More than 1 person can definitely watch as long as they have glasses. Its not like the 3DS where the 3D disappear when you hit a certain angle.

The Wife and I like to watch movies together, so that is great news.

Any advice on where to purchase extra glasses?

Two people can very much watch a 3D movie on the m17x without any issues... it is quite enjoyable too! me and my wife have seen quite a lot on my alien... cant go back to seeing movies in 2D now :)
I bought the extra pair for my wife off ebay... there are reliable sellers on there, plus its cheaper than buying the stuff from nvidia directly...

i agree with mahesh. ebay is a great place to find them cheaper

and also make sure you to get the vision 2 glasses and not the older ones. the R4 screen has 3d vision 2/lightboost support (that's assuming you're getting the R4) :D

Yep, hopefully I will be ordering my m17x R4 this week! I'm very excited, especially about the 3D Vision 2.
