    I have installed the 285.62 driver. After installing I click on "Enable 3d vision" and then follow the steps. 3d is installed successfully and I can see the 3d preview pack in 3d.

    The problem is that after a restart 3d doesnt work. For ex. I had switched off laptop and gone to dinner. I came back and opened NFS most wanted. It started coming in 3d (2 images slightly overlapped) .. so I took out my 3d glasses, put them on but I still couldnt see in 3d.. I was getting plain old 2d with 2 slightly overlapping images.. one little greenish and one reddish..

    So i reinstalled the drivers and voila I could see in 3D after putting on the glasses.. This happens again and again..

    What am I doing wrong??

    And in this game I dont want 3d, so how to turn it off? There was no option to turn it off within the game.

    Please help

    You need to open up nvidia control panel, click set up stereoscopic 3D on the left, make sure in the drop down it is Alienware 3D laptop instead of 3D Vision Discover.

    @widezu69-
    Yeah I saw that thread but you are you. If I try running a beta driver, god knows what'll happen.. I am having this much trouble with normal driver.

    Basically what i wanted to know from you was- should i run the whql 285.62 from nvidia or the one available on dell site??

    And I read somewhere that with the latest beta driver we end up losing 3d.. Is that correct?

    Nope I have 3D running just fine :)

    Also I have no way of checking my HDMI in, don't own anything like that.
