    3D question and GPU selection help..

    Hey guys,
    I am planning to get the M17x R3, but i am confused on which GPU should i go for - GTX 580m of HD 6990? What are the technical and technological pros and cons of having either of those? Money is not a problem, I just need the best! So please guide me through this with helpful suggestions. I'd really appreciate any kind of help from you guys.

    One last thing is I have been waiting since the launch of M17X 3D for a good GPU to support it. Any idea when are they coming up with a new GPU for 3D. I surely don't mind waiting for a couple more months since i love the 3D. It's just because of the low grade GPU they are giving compared to the high end ones with the regular M17XR3, that now I have kind of decided to go for the regular one.

    The interesting thing is, may be they would never come up with a high end GPU for 3D since that would completely cut down the sales of M18x as well as the regular M17x, since who doesn't want a good 3D for just a few bucks when they are already spending a few thousand bucks.

    Please help me.

    If you don't care if its external both the 580 & 6990 support 3d.

    Well i have simply gave up on 3D as of now......Am tired of just waiting for it......So in that case which one should i go for?? HD 6990 or GTX 580m???

    If you have money to burn 580m or else 6990m.

    Nobody knows how the 2 cards perform right now.

    Speculation are they are pretty much on par.
