    Hi guys,

How do I use 3DMARK 11? I tried running it under performance settings 1600x900 and the process just keeps hanging I think. I press start and then I just get a prompt saying please wait. It's been like that now for over 20 minutes. The HDD light isn't blinking either. Is this normal?

I just use the default performance settings for my testing.

Anyway, where did you install it? Best on your OS drive.

That's what it set to when I clicked test. It's installed to my OS drive. Is the please wait prompt normally hanging there for 20 minutes?

No, it isn't cos it takes a few seconds for mine to load. Maybe the install is broken, try reinstalling the program.

Use hwinfo 64 and rivatuner statistics to see how the cpu and gpu behave during tests. Look at the clock-temperature- wattage- voltage. Also look after trottling of cpu and gpu.

that'll be a start to see if it's not throttling....especially if you flashed the A10 BIOS as that might factor into the low score.

Yes I did. The core clock on the 880m is constantly switching between 650 and 954mhz

oh ok, some ppl are saying that it's throttling their 880Ms and if you can back flash it to A09 BIOS and test that would be a good start.

maybe it's a driver thing as well: using the latest betas?

Oh ok, then the 880m has a throttling issue.

I've reverted back to A09, no changes. I'm back to A10 for now. I honestly have no idea why my 880m is giving out these kind of scores.

Which nvidia driver are you using?. Could be a driver issue.

    Hi
Use ddu uninstaller and delete the driver in your windows safe mode. Important. Follow them it says on the program page. Re-Install the latest correct driver. (No beta driver only the original) good luck. Good night.
ps: Do not use nvidia's uninstall, only ddu uninstaller.

Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 12.7.1.0

Switch it to the dedicated GPU with fn +F6 and see what happens.

EDIT: I wonder if it's a bug in the VBIOS cos it's the thing that's controlling the throttling.

It could be. I'll test 3D Mark 11 out again later today now that I've restored back to factory state.
