    So i can get 4 2gb modules of hyper x 1600mhz ram cheaper than 2 4gb modules...

    Whats the difference performance wise?

    No difference @ all. But you can get 4 4gb sticks and then you will have 16gb. 2 now 2 later or 4 now none later. Unless you get 4x 2gb then you will have to buy 4x 4gb later.

    4Gb modules are more future proof then the 2Gb ones too.
