Hey guys, I was letting my brother play some Crysis 2, when I noticed a slight performance drop. Is there any way to check to see If It Is doing ok? Keep In mind, I'm not the best when It comes to pc's so explain It to me as If I were 5.

Have you updated Crysis 2 to 1.19?
    Are your temps normal?
Do you have something downloading or running in the background that would suck up processing power?(Antivirus program, windows updates, virus)
    Are you plugged in?

    Yup, Crysis 2 Is updated.
My temps never hit past 65 C
I don't think I have anything running In the background.
Yes, I am plugged In and set to high performance.
What are the names of those programs that test your card? All I know Is Futuremark... Thanks for the help.

vantage and 3dmark11 scores are the most popular. Forum members will be able to see if you're running normal or not very quickly

As zoo mentioned, furmark is another good one cause it will say your fps and your temps at the same time

EDIT: Doh! BigTony beats me again lol

haha i got P8605 3DMarks on my stock run, If i really push the GPU clocks I've breached 11k :D not even close to what slick gets with his 6990m, but I don't think its to bad either :)

well...before you go and spend good coin on a 580m, you definitely need to overclock that sucker. You have a guaranteed 560m there...all 460m's will overclock to 800 core, 1600 shaders, 1480 ddr5 and the temps will stay pretty much untouched.

I have one in an Asus G73 and it will overclock further than that

overclocked, my 6990m gets 16-17k in vantage but its not a fair comparison

I wasn't going to spend a dime. Mom ftw. Hey, I don't ask for things, I just make recommendations. I had a G73 as well, that thing had way better sound than this imo.

O, that's pretty cool. I'm not the one to overclock. I would more than often mess something up.
