I recently decided to try and see if I could get anything else out of my 4870s (were running fine at 650/1100), and I ran into a small issue. After getting the flashing the new bios, I realized that my frame rates were low in RE5. I set GPU-Z to monitor the game while I ran the fixed benchmark, and both GPUs were operating normally, at full load. I did the same with furmark. Both GPUs are running at full speed, not throttling. Both show up in device manager and CCC, and crossfire is enabled (also verified by GPU-Z). I decided to disable crossfire and try RE5 again, and got almost identical FPS. I think it is possible that when I saved the bios, I edited the same one twice and flashed the same bios to both cards. I do not know if this is the problem or not, but to test it, I was wondering if anyone had a copy of both original bios files for the 4870s in the M17xR2.
