    Hello all,

I just got my 7970m from Eurocom but without an X-bracket, only screws. So my question is, has anyone modified the 4870m X-bracket to be able to use it on the 7970m successfully? I've read a few threads on here and yes some people HAVE modified it and used it on the 7970, but does anyone know how? What am I supposed to do to get it working with the 7970? Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks :)

    Hi Dalorian,

I know some folks have clipped the corners off the x-bracket and used those to secure the card to the heat sync. However a better option would be to contact Eurocom and purchase an x-bracket for them (or check e-bay, it may be cheaper).

Take a look at the 6970m thread and do a search there, as I know some folks detailed how they did it.

    Good luck either way.
