    Hi all.

So I'm asking a noob question here but just noticed the i7-4900Ghz in my baby is clocked at 2.8Ghz and turboboosts to 3.8Ghz yet it stated on the order (and in my order acknowledgement email) that it would TB to 4.0Ghz: ''Intel® Core™ i7-4900MQ (8MB Cache, up to 4.0GHz, Overclocked)''. No biggie but just wondering if it's supposed to be shipped that way or if Dell means it can potentially be OC'ed to 4.0Ghz by the user.

Hopefully some kind soul can shine a light.

It should be overclocked. Maybe they forgot...

Go into the system BIOS and look at what level it is set to. It should be set to "level 3" overclock and have the number 40 somewhere. If it's not on level 3, then just change that and hit "F10" to save & exit.
