    I've seen the guide and I'm thinking about tracking one down, couple of things I need to know first;

    1) Is it doable, saw an excellent guide about going from ATI > ATI, same stuiff apply?

    2) Any idea where to get my hands on one?

    Should be fine, you'll probably need some new pads as the AMD pads fit the 7970m better.

    Excellent, I've got a load of Akasa pads, any ideas on where I could pick up the GPU?

    Hi The heatsink, bracket and screws of 560m match well for 7970m?
    Thanks in advance

    Yeah, I've got the normal 1920x1200 screen.

    Any place I should be looking for a 7970?

    Wait, the 1920x1200 screen? so you are using the m17x R2? Might be more difficult, I don't know if anyone has managed to get a 7970m working in that yet.

    My mistake, it's 1920x1080, I've been using an external monitor, just checked quickly, it's 100% an R3
