    what is the latest m17x capable 580m gtx driver which also handles 3d?

    btw. the best way i found to install it is first install the dell drivers. then, download the 280.26 notebook drivers and then use the inf mod (for the m18x) and then do an express install using the 280.26. then everything seems to work fine.

    Except 3D doesn't work with those drivers.

    If I remember right, 3D is based on the bios, not the drivers.

    3D works fine on all newer drivers. Not sure who told you otherwise.

    No one told me, I installed it an it wouldn't activate 3D.

    You did something wrong. I as well as a lot of others are running the latest driver from NVIDIA with no problem on 3D.

    Yeah, how can you do something wrong. You install the drivers, check enable 3D, and go through the wizard except that it doesn't activate 3D.

    try to enable the alienware 3d not the 3d vision discover in the drop down menu

    i have the same problem: bios A08, 280.26 but im not able to active 3D via nvidias driver.
