    hey guys i have ordered my m17x with 580m and 3d screen .....so wanted to know if it will be able to play games in 3d at high settings....and also since 3d doesnt support optimus , what kind of battery life can i get out of it ? ....people with 580m + 3D screen do let me know about your thoughts ...thks

    I just got it yesterday. So far i only have 1 game for it. Shogun 2. I ran it in ultra settings in 3d and in 1080p and it ran fine . Mine is plugged on all tbe time so i dont have a clue about battery life. So far i am very happy with my purchase

    Going to be bad. On my 6990m it lasts about 1.5h doing very light tasks... up to 4-5 hours if switched to IGP. You don't have optimus with 3d so probably 1.5 hours max.

    i will tell you when i receive it.........hoping to get at least 2hrs of battery life

    May be able to pull 2h with the screen brightness down, keyboard LED off and max battery life setting
