Hoping to tap those who may have used both the NV and the 4870 solutions who might be able to tell me just how close in visual appearance ATI gets to the "digital vibrance" feature of the NV chips.
I tried having a look at a local shop but they didn't have any high end ATI solutions out for looking![]()

Hey !
With ATI, you can get the equivalence of the NVidia Digital Vibrance this way:
Right-click on your desktop;
Choose Catalyst Control Center;
Click Graphics up left, then Desktop and Display;
Right-click the little laptop, bottom left;
Choose Configure;
Choose the Color tab;
Slide the SATURATION slider to the max (right);
TA-DAM !

But rather late than never, no ?
Actually, this guy just repped me for a post in the http://forum.notebookreview.com/alienware/546636-m18x-news-article-looks-bogus-8.html thread, and I looked up who he is, than, I clicked the button Find all threads started by FXi, and I falled on this one.
As I knew the answer, and as nobody had replied, I decided this guy was worth a (even late) reply...
So did I...
Lol...
