^^ Anybody know why? Hopefully not a performance/compatibility issue...

only issue is that dell stated in manual that Msata port is SATA3 but actually it only works on SATA2.
here it's still possible to get msata cards.

Hmm interesting, Dell sent me an e-mail at time of ordering stating that the mSATA runs at 6Gb/s. I suppose this is also an error...

the port itself works fine but my crucial m4 msata card which is SATA3 only runs on SATA2. so i can confirm it.
but then again the R3 had mayor issues with SATA3 and a random downclocking port to SATA2. image running a raid setup with that, brings all kind of weird stuff.

Ah ok, Thanks. :) Just mainly wondered if anyone knew why it is no longer available in UK. Yep, can imagine a raid setup would cause a bit of headache...

Hey mate, am I correct in understanding you're running an mSATA SSD plus HDD in an M17X R4 using Intel's SRT? Any problems or issues I should be aware of? Would you recommend this route as opposed to getting a regular SATA SSD?

    Thanks.
