just want to inform you guys that 670m's working perfectly with my 2 years old m17x r2. Just plug and play, brainless!
    - Fan working auto, HDMI works, VGA works, HDMI audio works also
    - Temp's ok: idle at 40 (room temp ~ 26), fulload at 65-70
    - 5870m's backplate and heatsink fully compatible, no mod needed!
And it seem that my friend's 675m is working too (have just booted to BIOS) with fan auto! Pretty awesome!
Gonna try SLI with hybridSLI driver soon since i got m17xR1's SLI cable already
/sorry for my horrible english :(

Let see some benchmarks when you get a chance as well! Great job! Are the cards Dells or Clevos?

Oh, and one problem only: the fan sensor. Although fan's speed is auto, but the sensor always report at max 100%, weird, but not big problem at all

another problem found! the screen's brightness always at 100%, decrease brightness via Fn+F4/F5 won't work! but still, minor problem.

the fans will show 100% speed in a laptop no matter the card as the fan isn't controlled by the graphics card like Desktop GPU's. ;)

damn shame, i made a big mistake here, the fan are not auto at all, it stuck at 2500rpm all the time, despite no mater how much temp is
have to use hwinfo to control at the end.

I'm interested to see how this pans out. I hope there would be some sort of workaround for the fan issue.

By the way, is the fan issue only for the 670M or for the GTX 675M as well?

    Best of Luck twin snakes!

has just test 670m with a M15x system, work perfectly with autofan control, HDMI, VGA... except that it's still cannot change brightness, same with m17x R2
    M15x, what a respectable system!

Definitely among the best in terms of upgrade-ability, if you ask me. Who would have thought these babies would be so versatile!

Im looking at upgrading my r2 to a 670m so was wondering how you are getting on with it. Ive not upgraded my laptop before so is there anything I should watch out for or any driver issues that i will need to overcome? Thanks :)

if all you're getting in 3dmark 11 is 2900 that doesn't seem like much of an upgrade.

That score seems a bit low, which driver are you using?
