So for anyone out there running the 6870M, what are you using for a driver/CCC version? what options do you have set? what games/apps do you play/use? do you overclock - and if so what is your main OC for stable running? what processor/ram are you running with it (and OC if you are)? have you done any mods like repasting?

once i get my M17X R3 back on track i wanna start messing with the OC's to see how much performance i can get out of it. i tried using the new 11.6 drivers, but SC2 seemed to stutter slightly on medium settings (mainly when a unit popped out of a production building)

also, is the R3 Crossfire Capable? i've never really looked into Crossfire due to the fact that i've been an Nvidia guy since before the whole crossfire/SLi thing started. is it possible to crossfire the 6870M on an R3?

as far as overclocking the 6870 go, whats the best route for that? i thought i saw a post saying that someone managed a 35% increase in clocks? how would that compete with say a stock 6970M? searched the forums but didnt come up with much.

also looking to OC the 2630 just a tad, but i'm assuming that can be done rather easily in the bios.

Since you haven't got any replies I'll answer your question. From stock clocks of 675/1000 I am able to run benchmarks stabily at 885 and 1285. So I dont know how much of an increase that is but it's not bad if I say so myself. I have also managed to oc my 2630 to 2.1 and 3.0 turbo mode by increasing the bclk to 105.6 I got an 11400 on vantage and a stock 6970 is about 12500 according to notebook check so it could be wrong. So the 6870 isn't a bad card at all I am very happy with it.

R3 can only have one GPU, but if you go for the 6970m you will get about the same performance as 2x 6870m.
