So I've had my m17x r3 for about 4 months now, and recently I've been having some issues with my 6870m graphics card. When I start up my system, once it gets to the windows login screen or right after I log in, it crashes without a bsod and reboots.

If I have the graphics drivers uninstalled, or just the Intel driver and not the 6870m's driver, it works fine. I've tried installing different drivers, but nothing works. I'm assuming that it is a problem with the driver, since I don't get a bsod or any beep codes, and when I run system diagnostics the video card tests fine.

I've searched for solutions, but I haven't found anything online detailing a similar problem.

I've tried that already, it didn't change anything.

My computer did the same thing until it completely wouldn't power on at all. I removed my video 6970m and rebooted it.

Call alienware and document the problem, if it ever needs a replacement you want to have been talking with them. Seriously.

My warranty was up by six days. I am going to try to source a replacement card on my own for my issue. Sucks, but what can you do?

Try to re-seat the Video Card and then re-install the OS to avoid software conflict. The guide I linked is for a M17x R4, but should work for the R3 as well.

If it still crashes you'll probably need to replace the card.
