Hi all, I just noticed that for the first time, Windows offered to update my graphics card via windows update... it updated from Driver Version 8.851.2.0 to 9.3.0.0 which says it is from October of 2012, this isn't the latest driver is it? I update through the AMD website's catalyst update every time they announce a new version. What is the latest driver version? and how come windows suddenly decided to try to update my driver (first time it's tried to update any driver)?

I would suggest DONOT update it, I did yesterday and ended up having BSOD. Had to restore from safe mode later on.

+1, since 13.4 is the best driver for 6xxx series so far

If you want to give it a try anyway, then dont forget to create a restore point

I did get a BSOD the first time i tried installing it, but upon reinstall, the picture went all weird, but i was able to wait around 10 minutes for the CCC and other stuff to install, then navigate thru ctrl-alt-del to restart, and it's been find since. Picture gets all wonky again if I try to switch to the intel graphics tho, but i hardly ever use them anyway. I'll try the 13.4 when i can. thanks for all the help! I'll let you know what happens!

I'm still using the 12.9 driver set. Mainly because I don't BSOD and you shouldn't try to fix what isn't broken right?

The 13.X series set was the tessellation boost for the 7000 series, so.... the update was useless for me. :p
