Really trying to keep myself level-headed about this purchase but I keep getting these horrid display driver crashes that lead to BSODs every so often. It's making me just wanna go for something like the 675MX instead. :( I want to stick with the 7970M as my choice, but if this continues to stay, I'm gonna just end up folding for the 675MX.

Are the driver issues at all the same with the 7000 series?

I had it for 6 months and it ran flawlessly.

Why did you swap it for a 680M then?

It died :( Apparently there was a batch of 7970m's with degrading Vram modules, and since i bought my card 2nd hand it would have been a task to get a replacement.

Decided to take a punt on Nvidia since i hadnt had one before and everyone was raving about the 680m.

The difference between the 2 is non exsistant to the untrained eye, aka me.
