The protoss pylon radius doesn't show. Does this happen to anyone else?

Actually I've noticed quite a few graphical issues in SC2 with my R3. Stuff similar to what you are posting. The radius is missing or only part of it shows. Also, when I have all units on screen selected, some of the units look like they haven't been selected, even though they are. It almost looks like the selection ring around the unit is underneath the terrain, and thats why its not showing. I've never run on maxed out settings on my previous system though, which was also and Nvidia GPU. Maybe AMD has some driver issues with SC2

I'm normally an Nvidia person since going with ATI each and every time has caused me issues. This time the 6970m's price/perf ratio won me over, I'll patiently wait for ATI to fix the issue.

i have this problem too but I don't know how to upgrade to 11.5b. i have the default dell drivers installed and everything works except for a few sc2 glitches. when i try to install 11.5b it says that the ati driver i have is the most up to date...
anybody have a good experience going from 11.3 to 11.5b (that fixes sc2)? -
Upgrade to 11.5 using the offline installer (don't delete your old driver! upgrade over them). Works for me.

It fixes it. I have 11.5 installed and the Pylons work perfectly now.
Been playing for a week and a half now with 11.5 and everything works fine. The only thing that doesn't work is increasing or decreasing the brightness using the Alienware OSD. I have no idea how to fix this. However I never change my brightness so its not much of a price to pay to play properly.

so i tried to install the driver from the link but it says that I already have that current driver. still have the pylon radius issue and it seems like the game is even running slower since i updated to sp1...
ugh -
I just followed these instructions i'm also using SP1, running at max graphics ofcs as well.
AMD 6970M Users, Proper Catalyst Installation Method
Hope it helps -
I downloaded the 11.5b ccl driver but it says that I already have the 11.5 driver when i try to install... -

Pop that right over your stock Dell drivers and then you'll soon be playing SC2 with pylon radii in-tact. -
First off thanks for the help.
When I try to install that driver it says that I already have that Video driver installed in the custom install
Which I know I don't... -
Check your device manager and see what version of the driver is listed for the 6970m.
If the driver is properly installed you'll see 2 things;
1) device name shows as 6900M series (because you're using generic drivers now)
2) In the 6900M series driver tab, the driver version will show 8.850.0.0
If these settings didn't take hold, re-running the installer should take care of the problem. -
Ive tried running the installer a few times. Never sees that I need a new display driver.
I'll check the versions and report back -
so display driver under device manager just says "6970m" and the driver version is currently 8.800.6.0

ok, so update, no idea why but I tried to install again and finally it recognized that i could update the drivers. now i am rocking 11.5b i believe. pylon in sc2 working correctly.
that said, i seem to have a dip in frame rates. before upgrade i could run sc2 and native (1920x1080) on high or ultra and get 60+ fps but now i need to crank it down to medium to play smoothly
anybody notice this?
and yes i can confirm that upgrading to 11.5b this way till "break" the alienware brightness Fn buttons -

I downloaded and installed your link and im still getting the issues with my pylons. -
