    Cheers mate, just had a read, I was assuming it to be about a 15-20% stock difference to be honest, just wondered on the differences and that summed it up nicely :)

    6970= 960 Shaders, Default clock speeds 680MHz core, 900Mem mem.

    6990=1120 Shaders, Default clock speeds 715MHz core, 900MHz Mem

    A 1.5 - 2K difference in Vantage.
    200-300 points difference in 3DMark'11
    1-2fps in Crysis Warhead. I have had both cards installed in the last week, so those numbers are pretty relevant.

    Unless you are a hardcore benchmarking guy, the price difference is not really justified.

    I just went up to a 6990m from a 6970m. The difference is pretty big when it comes to FPS on Crysis 2. Extremely noticeable, you won't regret the 6990m. So far it's been very reliable and doesn't go above 70 deg C.
