I saw a thread a while back, but everytime I search w/ nrb/etc/etc/undervolt through google+site search, it keeps going to a sager/clevo thread, so I'm sorry for making a new thread.

Could anyone point me the way to the guide on modifying the voltage on it?

    Thanks in advance.

Chaos92, im going to tell you this now.

There is 0 point in trying to use the 580m on battery. Unless you somehow managed to undervolt it to like 0.1v use. That would probably only power like 100mhz of all clocks though.

The vbios automatically downclocks due to the high power consumption of the whole computer without being plugged in.

You get 0 battery life with 3D man. There is nothing you can do with the 580 + 3D and battery. It just doesn't work.

I don't wanna do any gaming or even 3d movies on battery. Just internet and pdf reading or taking notes.
No way at all to squeeze out about 5 hrs from it? I have heard those with the 6970m are able to?
Maybe there is a way to downclock/undervolt the 580m to the inbuilt hd3000 levels?

I get 1 hour gaming out of battery, which is sweet for the 6970M. I think you should have a go with undervolting it, might give you an extra 10mins. Does not sound but adds up to hours of extra play over time.
