    I wanted to play oblivion but it was extremely laggy! This was on 1600x900 with 2x AA! Is this normal? I am on the 6970m!

    No that is not normal. You should be able to max it out...

    what could be the issue? i know for sure i am using the 6970m and not the intel 3000

    What version are you playing? If you're playing the Steam version there are multiple threads on the forums over there explaining how to fix such issues.

    If you're playing from a disc, then you should trying Googling guides on how to get Oblivion to work with quad core processors; the game has issues on working with quads...or so I'm lead to believe.

    Figured it out guys, gpu was fine, my CPU was running at 800 mhz -__-

    i used throttlestop to get it back up to speed, works great now.
