When I go into the bios it says "discrete graphics 1 not detected" Also in GPU-Z in the bottom drop down menu it's only showing Intel HD Graphics. Does that sound like the video card is bricked or could it be the motherboard? When I try to install the Dell 6990 driver I get error messages. Dell is sending me a 6990 and a heatsink.Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like your 6990 bit the dust.. You'll find out soon enough if it's the motherboard when your new card arrives (99% chance it isn't IMO).

You couldn't have had the system for more then a year you should still have a warranty on it, send that sucker in and get it replaced. I did that with my 6970 :D .

That is the risk of over clocking to benchmark.

Still the 6990 seems prone to failure. Mine died and I rarely overclocked it.

They replaced my 6990 with a 580m since the 580 had a shorter wait time than the 6990. As it was I waited 3 weeks for a new card.
