I just installed it and my 3dmark 06 score jumped up from 17,954 to 18,059.

Is anyone else doing this also?

That is not a large difference in scores, about 0.5%. I've seen as much variance between seperate runs on the same hardware and drivers.

That said, I don't see why any of Dell's AMD driver packages wouldn't work. They all should support all of the cards, assuming they are recent. Personally, I prefer to get my drivers straight from AMD to avoid any of Dell's shenanigans.

man! I just want a driver that'll make my 6970m get an extra 5 fps on Ultra Mode.

    On Crysis 2 i.e.

then your best bet is OC the cards.

    Keep 2 things in mind:

first, catalyst package are for a wide range of radeon cards. There is no specific 6990 or 6970 driver.

second, if you want to really test the card use Vantage or 3Dmark11. 3Dmark06 is outdated and heavily CPU bound

    my 2 cents
