I turned my laptop on earlier from hibernation mode and the resolution was all reduced and there was no option to switch graphics. I reinstalled catalyst and the integrated graphics installed ok but the amd card was not being detected in bios or windows.

I then tried differnet display drivers and changed bios to 08 version and the card is detected and switches on but I get a distorted flickering green screen with a lot of noise.

I've now switched my hard drive to one with a clean installation from factory restore image on it. The same problem. I was going to do a screen dump and post the image here but the image shows up like normal so wondering if its a faulty connection.

    Anyone got any suggestions?

    Cheers

A broken LCD cable or broken LCD must be the cause. Try reseating the LCD cable.
