I know this is a GPU question but I wanna know specifically from an AW setup.
So far, those OC'ing their 780Ms, where in desktop GPU level can your result be compared with? Clocks or bench results.
Like, can an OC'ed 780m get near the level of stock desktop 780? If not, what desktop GPU can an OC'ed 780m reach?
Thanks guys.

With the right vbios, drivers, cooling plus a bit of skill one can reach desktop reference GTX 680 levels. Any core clocks over 1Ghz and memory clocks over 3Ghz is desktop GTX 680 territory. I have those for gaming but I currently don't game that much so I can't talk about stability. Benching stability wise, I use modded 326.98 drivers. They are the only ones, for me, that I have tested (and I've tested all of them) that will complete a benchmark run without crashing even with the lowest of overclocks.
I love playing games with my mates who have decent desktops but my laptop still performs better.jinda likes this. -

With some overclock, it's equivalent to a GTX 680. With a modded vBIOS, you can surpass the 10,000 point 3DMark 11 threshold.
Next year's 880M is anticipated to be similar to a GTX 780. This pattern is quite common.
780M OC'ed to what desktop level the most?
