Hey, new to this forum after lurking for awhile and finally purchase a M17x R4 last week with the 7970m graphics chip. Today I was researching Adobe Premiere and came across they support only for nVidia.
I looked this up online and there seems to be something dealing with CUDA being supported on nVidia and OpenCL on AMD not.
Ive been everything Apple my whole life and am new to PC so could someone please explain this to me? Thanks!

no as of CS6 adobe is dumping support for Nvidia CUDA, in favor of openCL, but for now BOTH card and formats are supported in Premier Pro

Nvidia cards do OpenCL, but the new kepler cards are SLOW at it, the older generation were actually faster
a good example is my daughters AW with a 7970 is about 175% faster than my 2012 MBP MBP-r -
^ there you go.

anyone of you guys got to try if its worth it the 7970m on Adobe with the newest CPUs? I mean, how much time you win rendering and with effects ?

newer CPu's give 10-15% boost ( im assuming you mean ivy bridge 3XXX CPU, over sandy bridge 2XXX CPU's )
