    Hello,

I've tried searching for this both on google and on the forum cause I KNOW I've read it on this forums somewhere before, but here goes.

I'm ordering a 7970m from Eurocom, and I've got an m17x r2 with crossfire 4870 cards. I've read somewhere that I will need a new heatsink? Cause the ones I got now for the 4870 wont fit the 7970m am I right? Could anyone please clarify what I need with my 7970m card? :) Thanks a lot in advance guys!

I think you wrong. The heat sink you have should work with the card. :D

What is it that people say only works from 6990 to 7970? If not the heat sink? Back plate? x bracket?? I'm sure I read something somewhere on this forum that 6990 heatsink goes well with 7970 but otherwise you need to do some modding?

The x bracket I think. You'll need to specify to euro com that you need the screws and bracket.
