I am currently running a gadget that shows core and memory clock and for some reason the core clock is showing 300Mhz and memory clock is 150Mhz.

Is there any particular reason for this? I thought the stock values were 850/1200

Any clarification would be nice. Thanks.

Are you using enduro or is the card not being used right now?

I think I am using enduro, is there a way to check definitively? I have disabled my integrated graphics and I just use my 7970m.

If you are using Enduro it will show the HD4000 clocks, but at the same time the clocks do drop to lower values at idle Enduro or not. Your system is fine the values showing are based off your 7970M at idle clocks.

Even if you running 3D Mark 11 for benchmarking, you will still see those values. It's just a bug.

The card with down clock itself when not being used to the max. Mine does the same thing even though I have the internal gfx disabled in the BIOS.

Yeah, I'm just going to assume (like everyone else ) that you are at idle when you are looking at those clocks. If not, you got yourself a problem.

Yeah, you're right guys! Thanks a lot. Everything is actually fine, aha. When I run a game and tab out, the gpu meter shows 850/1200.

If you ever plan on overclocking with Msi afterburner then don't have it start with your computer or it gets stuck at those idle clocks

I use the same gadget and when using the HD4000 I get nothing in the gadget, it does not pick up the integrated card but when I switch to the 7970 it starts working. When you are running on just the 7970 it will lower the clock speeds when your not gaming to keep the heat down. If you start a game and then alt tab out you should see the proper speeds.

Yeah, thanks for that information ninja. I do overclock, but I never apply the OC at system start-up.

And Mog, thanks for the elaboration. I understand it now. The games I play run smoothly, but I was just a bit curious to why my clocks were at that level, but yeah they change when I tab-out.
