    Hello everyone,

So, i have an alienware m17 r5, the one that came out on mid 2013. I have a single gtx 780m and an i7 4900mq. Recently, like a week ago, (and i have no idea if this has anything to do) for like thirty seconds my screen went weird (on the actual alienware itself, not the second monitor) it went kind of yellowish and just looked weird. Then i just moved the screen (or did i restart? Not sure) and it went back to normal. Same thing happens with my camera, sometimes when i tilt my screen down it disconnects the cam. In any case, maybe it has nothing to do, but today i was just coming home, plugged my laptop to all my stuff, and launched a game, but i noticed my laptop screen wasnt on, and tried going on control panel to fix it, but the window was clearly trying to opened in the laptop screen, so it was supposed to be on, just not functioning. So i decided to restart my computer. And once it boots off, it never booted back on, i just heard those 8 beeps on repeat, and the lights on the alienware turned on..

I have read that this has to do with my lcd, i tried unplugging my battery and pressing power button for 30 seconds and so on, to no avail. If this is a tough job to fix, id take it to a laptop shop, i just want to be informed on what should be fixed and not be scammed by a large bill. It would be really nice to fix myself also.

Thanks alot if anybody can help,

    Ben.

Take a look at the owner's manual and tear down the computer to the display. It could be a loose cable.
