    Hi guys

    Ok so no laptop.. :(
    I tried putting on a new panel, gave up when it was such a dog to do. Put back the old one and was going to leave it at that till I got a entire new lid assembly.

    Now won't boot, 8 beeps. Is this due to a bust LCD which is not the end of the world as I am going to get a new panel anyway. I connected the cables back but the main led cable got two slots, I put it in the right most position. Hope nothing is damage.

    I tried put into my tv with hdmi but nothing.

    What do you think guys? Really need a laptop even with the stupid 900p screen to keep me going.

    *phew.

    well its working, albeit with dog crap of a 900p panel.

    i plugged the lvds cable into the wrong place :$

    paid £760 for this, last thing i needed was a paper weight.

    need to get a whole lid assembly now, why on earth do companies sell LED panels for this laptop when it cant even be changed (successfully).

    is there anyone in europe, or the uk where you can get entire lid assembly for a 1080p panel?

    cheers...

    and *phew again.

    i notice now that the intel graphics are not detected, what is this about?

    not showing up in the bios, tried installing a IB driver no use.?

    fn & f7 fixed that..

    weird, removing that panel must have caused havoc.

    has anyone any good links for complete 1080p assemblies guys?

    I'm glad you got almost everything sorted out. If you are located in the US or CA you can get the LCD by sending an e-mail to [email protected]
