    Thanks in advance.

I assume that you meant the 2x4GB since 8GB is non-existent yet, AFAIK.
If you really need 8GB (usually 4 is enough and you can get a really fast 2x2GB 1333 HyperX Cas. lat.-7) go for any 2x4GB sets @1333 Cas. Lat. 9. Personally, I like Mushkin, but there are quite a few more options on the market today. Look @newegg.com for example.

    I can recommend these:

    Newegg.com - G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Laptop Memory Model F3-8500CL7D-8GBSQ

    or

    Newegg.com - G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Laptop Memory Model F3-10600CL9D-8GBSQ

The difference between 1333 and 1066 is really really small. I myself have the 1333 G.Skill ones and they are really good. As for me, I really stopped buying Kingston after I had one incident where ram rated at 800 Mhz only ran at 667 stable and the other being bad sticks.

I'd check past sales on ebay to see about prices for your RAM. I also use the G.Skill 8GB 1333MHz RAM and it works well.

it's simple. if you have i5 cpu get the 1066mhz. 1333mhz is useless and will be clocked down to 1066mhz.
if you have i7 you need to get the 1333mhz cause 1066mhz will not work as far as i know.

I don't think that statement about the i7 not accepting the 1066 memory is correct. it will simply run at 1066 but is capable of running at 1333 because of the CPU's FSB.

My new system is being shipped with the 4GB 1066 memory even though i have the i7 720QM Processor.

then it was only for the extreme where 1333 was needed. though i did read that somewhere on this forum.

Any quad core i7 can take advantage of the extra speed that 1333mhz RAM offers, doesn't just have to be the extreme cpu's. But it will still work with any 1066mhz modules as well.
The Core i3, i5, and i7 620m will run 1066mhz max, and will down clock the 1333mhz modules.
I also use the G.Skill 1333mhz 8GB kit in my system and have had no problems.

The quad core i7 processors run with a 1333mhz fsb. The i7 620 which is a dual core processor does use a 1066mhz fsb however.

Edit: someone beat me to it.
The 8gb that I had in my last r2 from dell was samsung cas 9. $375 is decent for it to come preinstalled, and you can get it for 25% off frequenty which puts it cheaper than most at new egg.
