    I have seen allot of threads on the 980m 8gb in the M17xR4's. I am thinking about biting the bullet and getting the upgrade kit from Eurocom, what is confusing is all the drivers mess.

    Is it that complicated to get the 980m working in the M17xR4? (I am running Windows 10)

    Depends on what you call complicated:
    You need full UEFI system with GPT partitions - since you have Windows 10, it's most likely already full uefi and gpt.
    You will need to install modified drivers to use the GPU the first time as well as on every driver update if you choose to install them. More info on how to do this in the thread below:
