my main issue is that my battery icon is acting strange. I took it off the charger today and after about 1 hour of being off the charger and listening to music on it, the battery icon said that it was plugged in and fully charged, and now that i plugged it in, it now says 20% and that its not charging.

my other issue is that my option to safely remove hardware from the notification area isn't working.

the only changes ive made lately were disabling some services: secondary logon, telephony etc, but would those cause instability like that? what service would affect the battery icon and the safely remove hardware feature? thanks all!

after a couple minutes it says 30%, plugged in, charging... is there some issue with the software polling the battery really slowly? it shows on the icon a full battery, but says 30%, and a few minutes later, i clicked on it to go into power options, and it changed to 34% and showed a 1/3 full battery icon.

    EDIT:

I think I've fixed the battery issue, i uninstalled the microsoft acpi-compliant control method battery driver and restarted to reinstall the driver, then i unplugged and replugged in the laptop a couple times and it's been responding immediately to the change and it accurate in its reading.

still the issue with no safely remove hardware menu though... i have to go into my computer and right-click and eject the device.
