    Anyway, the deal is still active as of the 3rd. If you have a legal right to use Exchange discounts, go ahead!

    Just so those that are thinking of are aware, buying products from AAFES for a non servicemember is a very easy way to get your servicemember friend in some deep stuff. Not only is it against the law, it also discourages Dell and other businesses from offering discounts to the Soldiers, Airmen, Marines and Navy personnel that IMHO have earned it.

    Pay the asking price, or wait for a good dell coupon to come out.

    Schmuu the deal was out when the R3 first came back after the whole CPU deal back from Jan. Then about a week after it went up from 1200 to 1380ish just keep in mind that its much more then just 300 of a saving .. NO TAXES so add that into it

    Very true Choppus you can get NBD if you call and bug your rep alot I got mine for free as well so thats another savings of $68 I got but not everyone gets lucky and gets a rep who will do that. Mine was a vet so I kind of cheated ~

    And Choppus what you doing on the forums you got yours in the mail all ready I'll not be on the site for week after I get mine having fun

    Ah crap. Just pulled on new R3.
    Within 1 month I've bought 3 M17x.
    M17x R1 with x9100 280m sli(sold)
    M17x R1 with qx9300 280m sli(still have)

    and finally
    M17x R3 with 2720 6970 and full hd
    Paid only 1,639.20 with upgrade.
    My M17x Qx9300 should cover close to R3 price.

    Hope I get good machine. Stuck in Korea and I really don't want to take this to Dell Korea(customer service suck)

    Life is great when u r single and in military.
    I love military life but hard to start family and keep family so getting out(ETS) in few months.

    Yes in the Army.
    In Korea until July.
    I'm going on terminal leave in end of Sept and Army is moving me to different duty station. Hope I have enough time to In-process,out-process and ACAP.
