    1. Disconnect your ac adapter from the laptop
    2. Remove the battery
    3. Hold the power button for 15-20 seconds

It fix my charging, but it has to be done every time the computer have been used without the AC adapter. Is this a BIOS issue?

I dont think its a bios issue as it happens to other laptops, not just alienware. Then again, im not sure but here's an alternative fix that i do when it happens to my machine.

    1. Turn off the laptop
    2. Remove battery
    3. Turn back on without the battery using the power adaptor
    4. Go to Device Manager > Battery
    5. Uninstall Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery
    6. Turn off laptop
    7. Put battery back
    8. Turn back on.

    Cheers!

When that happens to me, I just remove the battery and then put it back while the laptop is still on and plugged into the AC Power Adapter, it then starts charging the battery again.
