    Hello everyone.

I got my alienware m17x yesteday. And it was awesome. There were no problems at all with it.

But today the adapter don't wanna work. It doesn't flash blue as it should when it got power in it. And no matter what i do i can't get it to work. It worked for 12 hours ago. what could have happened?

So do you guys think it is defect and i have to call dell for a new one? or is there a trick i don't know of?

Try another outlet, if still no blue tip than defective.

Is it a Flextronics Power adapter? They are often faulty, from my experience. Both the 240W bricks I got with my M17x died within days. The Delta Replacements I got for both of them worked like a charm, however.

word, my old R1 had the flex and it died within a few weeks as well. The new flex worked up until I sold it, and the Flex on my R2 is good, so far.

unless you have the part numbers for the Delta PSU they're not going to be able to distinguish between the two. The part number for my Flextronics 240W PSU is 330-7841 so that should at least get you started. They both might still be the same part number however, so keep that in mind once you've spent an hour with the tech looking for the Delta PSU #

yeah, my adapter burned out in the first month. Fortunately it seems to be a rare occurance. My replacement is still running fine (this was almost a year ago), and so have the extras I bought.
