    I want to know if I can buy another AC adapter outside of dell web page?
    I would like to have one at home and other at the office, that form I can save weight on my backpack.

    I read on some part that the ac adapter are "married" with the bios.
    True o False?

    That is true,you'll need a Dell 240W adapter,they have a integrated chip that communicates with the motherboard and that makes the use of other non Dell chargers impossible.

    Good old fashioned proprietoryism at its finest......and Dell STILL cant get their OWN proprietory psu's to be recognised by their OWN computers..... :D

    As long as its original in the sense that was manufactured for or by Dell for use with your system, you should be fine. Just make sure it is before you buy or check if you can return it.

    Probably cheaper via Ebay but find out before buying is my advice.

    I bought one on ebay for my m17x works fine just like the one Dell sells. I also got a after market for my m11x and it works fine so the m11 must be different? :D

    $100 including shipping.
