ATI Radeon? Video Card Drivers
Description:
Were letting our customers try out the brand new Catalyst Control Center before its officially part of the AMD Catalyst package!
? Looks like it's just a new beta CCC. -
Interesting, I went through the standard "Search for available drivers" on the front page and was given the link...odd...

EDIT: Unless they are here: http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=334411 and CAP 10.12 here: http://downloads.guru3d.com/ATI-CrossFireX-Application-profiles-10.12-download-2501.html -
Sometimes the newest driver isn't always the best driver.
Look forward to seeing your results - happy testing folks. -

- supposed to have a new style CCC as well tho aint it? - here: http://downloads.guru3d.com/AMD-Catalyst-10.12-Win-Vista-(32|64)-new-CCC-download-2655.html

I'm only doing it to see if Civ 5 issues are resolved which AMD support said they would..
So we'll see.... -

- but im an eternal optimist so fingers crossed for ya..
-
lol...yeah I know, I've been hoping since 10.7...I'm sure the next response from AMD will be...10.13.
*Edit* No fix, 10.12 experiences the same problem with Civilization 5 and driver 10.7 - 10.11. So far only 10.3
actually works with Crossfire enabled...10.7 - 10.12 all fail immediately after the first or second turn, crashing
to the desktop and saying "Application has stopped working" if I have crossfire enabled. Still works as long as I disable crossfire.
Guess it's time to talk with Firaxis/2K/AMD again.
Sigh -
Got 10.12 downloaded & installed, no problems. My gaming heart breaks that there is no CiV fix yet. I do so miss playing CiV...
-
With AMD drivers that statement is 100x true. Here are the release notes for Catalyst 10.12:
-
-
At least on the 4870 cards in crossfire only 10.3 drivers seem to work. As long as you don't run Civ 5 in crossfire you should be ok.
-
To get the new CCC2, you must download the desktop version and then replace the CCC folder in the mobility drivers with the desktop one. Here is how it looks once you've installed it:

how does black ops run with the new driver?
Edit: I just installed it and the new drivers really fixed things for me, rarely drop below 60fps with vsync on and everything maxed (AA x4) -
is there a way from AMD site to download the whole package directly? instead of downloading the small file and then extracting and check for compatibility and then downloading the whole 90-ish MB files?
i want to download it from work since the net is fast here. -
"Known Issues Under All Windows Operating Systems
The following section provides a summary of open issues that may be experienced under the Windows operating system in the latest version of AMD Catalyst™. These include:
* Green playback may be observed when playing multiple HD streams from Youtube using Flashplayer 10.1."
AHAH! and i thought i was crazy cuz i couldn't reproduce it consistently. they need to fix that, it's really irksome. -
this exe is for the HD5XXX series correct? -
I installed but crossfire isnt showing up in CCC, anyone know how to fix this?
Also, is BFBC2 xfire still messed up like it's been since 10.5a? (im guessing yes, since ATI denies it's even a problem) -

As AMD "forgot" that they also make mobile cards, looks like we have to wait for them to release a package with the new UI and drivers "all in one" eh?.......
Has anyone noticed any difference in terms of performance OVER 10.11......
Looks like the UI is just "comsetically different" and doesnt have any improvements?? -

Being kinda new to AMD drivers, im not sure on this either.....have searched for a mobilty package with new UI and drivers......is this it?
ATI Catalyst? Mobility Display Driver
Is that a package with both? -
All you have to do is move over the CCC2 folder (in it's entirety) and rename it CCC and delete/rename the original CCC folder. That's all I did. -
I've tried doing it that way and the CCC doesn't install at all.
-
Want me to rar and upload my installation files?
-
-
Alright well I'm uploading my installation files + the new CCC to megaupload. Should be done in 20 or so minutes. Maybe those will work for you guys, if not then I'm not sure.
-
I just had one multiplayer session on Valdez and it was flickering while I was round the chopper spawn area. I think ATI have abandoned all fixes for BFBC2. -
steviejones133 Notebook Nobel Laureate
Im just wondering WHY it isnt available WITHOUT having to do all of that rigmoral.....AMD must have forgot about thier mobile users who want the new UI too....

Aristotelhs2060 Notebook Virtuoso
what about the 5870s temps using this driver?
By the way i couldnt install the new ccc just by replacing the mobility ccc files. Nothing relating to ccc was installed this way. I had to install every msi of ccc2 (i installed only the msi from folders that are also included in mobility ccc ) But finally its working -
-
This could be the solution. You guys should first try running through all the individual installers in the new CCC2 and then run the main installation utility and see if CCC comes up. -
steviejones133 Notebook Nobel Laureate
Isnt the link I posted earlier just an easier way to install the new drivers and new ccc.....the AMD site says that its CCC 10.12.......but would that be he OLD ccc?
-
-
AMD doesn't provide the new CCC for mobility 10.12. Okay here's the uploaded rar file for my 10.12 + CCC2: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service
If CCC doesn't show up as an option, try what was suggested earlier, run through the CCC2's MSI files and then run the main ATi installer afterward and see if CCC shows up.
P.S. I renamed the original CCC directory as "CCC2a" so don't be fooled, the correct directory is CCC. -

Technically you shouldn't have to but if you don't see CCC show up as a choice (when choosing "custom" from the install option) then that means something is wrong and you should try manually installing it (via MSI files) and then running the main setup.exe file again.
Also, I just remembered that prior to 10.12 I had a custom 8.790.6 driver release from the Guru3D forum which came with AVIVO, Hydra, etc. I'm not sure if that played a role in getting CCC2 working for me but figured I'd mention it. Lastly, I did not use driversweeper or any of those registry altering programs to remove my drivers, I simply used the ATi uninstall manager.
I'm off to bed, good luck getting it working guys. Personally I like it a lot more than the old CCC, things are easier to get to and the new "pin" option works great:Attached Files:

Hi Guys,
I got it to work by injecting/copying the CCC folder (renamed from CCC2) into the Hydravision package '10-12_mobility_vista_win7_32-64_hydravision.exe' (which is empty by default).
I couldn't get it to work using the default installer '10-12_mobility_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl.exe'.
Give that a try. -
is there any thing special about the new CCC? other than the GUI? is there like .... unlocked options and tweaks?

Aristotelhs2060 Notebook Virtuoso
Jokers pack worked for me. dont know if its just because i installed it before using msi.

i downloaded this and it said everything i had was already up to date? but mine are just the 10.11 drivers...

Aristotelhs2060 Notebook Virtuoso
2) Do a restart.
3) Then i used jokers setup and i could see the choice of ccc. I reinstalled everything and still has the cc2 so i guess it could see the ccc2.
If this doesnt work just install the cc2 from the msi files. use the msi files i said. No need for the rest msi as they should work only for desktops anyway. and restart. New cc2 should work. i used the joker pack just to check if its working. -
thanks i had to uninstal all the package manualy and reinstall floowing aristotelhs steps and package list
the new GUI looks good and i'm not sure but it seem to use d2d for hw acceleration -
What the AMD think?Ireally want to know
-
^????? what do you mean ?
-
after installing the 10.12 package (finally got it to work right. didn't bother with the ccc2 cause i don't really care. drivers are what matter not a GUI) my 3dmark06 score jumped up 300 points! but for some reason my vantage score dropped 10 points? maybe this was some fluke. in the canyon flight test, at several points i had fps of almost 240!
weird stuff. it was with a 5% bios overclock, but so were my other scores in my sig.
