I get a nice boost off of these.. But I still had to go back to 12.3 there the only ones my fans work right on, anything above my fans wont adjust speed when temps go up.

I used the beta 4. Everything worked great with enduro turned on. but once I hit fn+f7 and rebooted the laptop froze on the windows boot screen. Not sure if this because I did a clean install. or yourjust not able to run only on the dedicated card during this beta. Should I have just installed this over the old drivers to be able to switch between the two?

Edit. Did a clean install starting with the dell drivers. Then installed the beta drivers over top. and the Fn+f7 action is functional again.

Yup, I just Installed beta 4 also a minute ago...... No problem for Switchable Graphic. The only thing that not working is my screen brightness control. However I can use screen brightness when I switch into intelHD GPU. Plan to try it on Battlefield 3, Sleeping dog, and Guild wars 2 to see if I have performance gain.....

just curious, I Installed directly on top of my previous 12.6 beta driver without uninstalling anything. It went smooth without BSOD or error log on my system.

Thats fine, it is recommeneded to do it that way. Just for added security run a registry scan with deep scan option enabled to clean up any junk left behind (if applicable).

Could one of you fine folks test something for me? I just upgraded my M17X R4 to Windows 8 Pro today, and am running the Catalyst 12.11 Beta 4 drivers, and have an odd issue. Would you go into your Device Manager and tell me if it is constantly refreshing (will flicker over and over, approx. once every 2 seconds)? I thought I had isolated it to the AMD External Event Utility, but it came back after I started a game (Portal 2). Thanks!

My bad if I didn't follow you last time :)
I guess if you turn your laptop on without connecting charger, the brightness issue will occur else it wont.

This brightness issue must be a R3 thing because it does not happen on the R4.

btw, can i ask for the complete list of the drivers/installers (or if you do like to, probably the steps you did when you did your installation) i need to use if ever i do a fresh install on a new disk. i know that there are threads about this, but i'd like to know the latest info i could get from a fellow r3 user. preferebly the links also, cause i think the dell site has some outdated drivers, am i right?

Installed the 12.10's and everything is great, games run great etc etc but why is the driver version listed as 9.2.0.0?? Is this normal? When I go to the AMD control panel it says 12.10 but my dxdiag and my 3dmark tests all show driver version 9.2.0.0. Weird.

Maybe I'm not installing them right, but I get atikmpag.sys blue screens on boot with beta 4... both installing over old driver and clean install. Back to stock dell drivers for me.
