12.11 Beta4 is out as well, just FYI. Give it a whirl if possible!

Just installed the new Beta 4 drivers so far so good. Control center seams a bit snappier as well which is very nice.

I get a nice boost off of these.. But I still had to go back to 12.3 there the only ones my fans work right on, anything above my fans wont adjust speed when temps go up.

Thanks for the post i am quite new here..Hello! : )
using 6970m when i install any other driver other than dell's my screen brightness is getting dimmer(after changing primary display bios a12) tried hwinfo but didn't help how can i solve this issue any ideas??
thanks : ) -
so anybody with 7970m using the beta 4 now?? i want to clean install the windows today, should i get the beta4 or beta 3? i heard beta 3 is quite stable but i haven't heard of beta 4

I used the beta 4. Everything worked great with enduro turned on. but once I hit fn+f7 and rebooted the laptop froze on the windows boot screen. Not sure if this because I did a clean install. or yourjust not able to run only on the dedicated card during this beta. Should I have just installed this over the old drivers to be able to switch between the two?
Edit. Did a clean install starting with the dell drivers. Then installed the beta drivers over top. and the Fn+f7 action is functional again. -
Yup, I just Installed beta 4 also a minute ago...... No problem for Switchable Graphic. The only thing that not working is my screen brightness control. However I can use screen brightness when I switch into intelHD GPU. Plan to try it on Battlefield 3, Sleeping dog, and Guild wars 2 to see if I have performance gain.....
just curious, I Installed directly on top of my previous 12.6 beta driver without uninstalling anything. It went smooth without BSOD or error log on my system. -

thx for the link, will try now

Could one of you fine folks test something for me? I just upgraded my M17X R4 to Windows 8 Pro today, and am running the Catalyst 12.11 Beta 4 drivers, and have an odd issue. Would you go into your Device Manager and tell me if it is constantly refreshing (will flicker over and over, approx. once every 2 seconds)? I thought I had isolated it to the AMD External Event Utility, but it came back after I started a game (Portal 2). Thanks!

this is the issue i was saying to you a while back sherry. it started on mine when i installed 12.9 though. it carried over to 12.10 and up to now with 12.11
sigh it's starting to annoy me that i have to switch gpu then switch back everytime i open my pc cause it always start at maximum brightness which BURNS! lol sigh :| -
I guess if you turn your laptop on without connecting charger, the brightness issue will occur else it wont. -
This brightness issue must be a R3 thing because it does not happen on the R4.
-
-
i always use mine plugged in and it still brightness is maxed though..
-
I got Win8 x64 installed today and I'm not seeing that issue so far
-
damn why win8 T___T i hate that hideous start screen, i still prefer this start menu.
i would change os only if i get ssd. for now i'll just bear with this. :| -
btw, can i ask for the complete list of the drivers/installers (or if you do like to, probably the steps you did when you did your installation) i need to use if ever i do a fresh install on a new disk. i know that there are threads about this, but i'd like to know the latest info i could get from a fellow r3 user. preferebly the links also, cause i think the dell site has some outdated drivers, am i right?

Installed the 12.10's and everything is great, games run great etc etc but why is the driver version listed as 9.2.0.0?? Is this normal? When I go to the AMD control panel it says 12.10 but my dxdiag and my 3dmark tests all show driver version 9.2.0.0. Weird.
-
Maybe I'm not installing them right, but I get atikmpag.sys blue screens on boot with beta 4... both installing over old driver and clean install. Back to stock dell drivers for me.
