You're talking about the M17x r3 not M15x... omg, I already thought they updated the M15x without me noticing when I read the title...

I don't know how the 6870m performs, check out the M17x section, there you should find what you're looking for. 460m is not bad, best gaming performance would definitely be the 6970m.

Honestly the m15x is pretty outdates in hardware. If I were you, I would go with the m17x r3, its just a tad bigger, a little more expensive (especially if you max it out to what you specified) but better performance.

Actually he is talking about the M17x r3, take a look at the specs, he only got the numbers the wrong way.

6870m for pure gaming. That is R3 by the way.

If you love 3d then you must go with Nvdia but also tell them change the screen to get 3d as well. Otherwise choose 6870m as it's the best from all of them.

6970 is what you should aim for but if not the 6870 is a good fallback

I saw on some pharagraphes that the GTX 460M is better than the 6870, nad the 6870 is slower then the 5870

    I see.

Then I would say go with nvdia card if you don't want the 6970m card. But if there is a chance to get the 6970 then that is way better.

I would suggest even if he cant get the 6970M then he should get the 6870M cause it gives better performance than the 460M and even costs less.
