    AMD Catalyst? Mobility Display Driver

If the link doesn't work then just go the ATI website and get them manually. I'll give these bad boys a blast now and report any issues etc etc

Anyone know why the CAP's have stopped at 11.12 CAP1??

Update - installed fine! I went down the uninstall drivers, CCleaner, Driver Sweeper and install route. Just tested on BF3 and its running pretty good.

These are also running great on my 5870s. Actually this was probably the most painless driver install in recent memory; no BSODs or installation errors.

same as Rypac just got an ssd so did a full windows re-install and display drivers installed perfectly no issues whatsoever. However the only game i've currently played with the drivers is lol and thats not really going to test them i got a 3Dmarks11 score of 4400~ on 12.4 drivers which isnt't much change as far as i can tell. Dont know if it will fix the skyrim crossfire flickering graphics glitch though if anyone knows a fix to this that would be greatly apreaceated (disabling crossfire is not a fix)

Nope, Skyrim still flickers on X-F. I guess we are stuck with a single setup only. :(

    Installation worked like a charm.

What I am noticing is that sometimes Internet Explorer (IE9) windows go black and then after re-sizing the content becomes visible. See the attached screenshot. Firefox (12.0) doesn't seem to have this problem.

This happened only after installing the new driver.

Working great, the only issue I've found is that instead of the main character being the only non-flickering object (12.3) now the character is the only thing that flickers (12.4) in Skyrim. Not that it matters, I don't actively play Skyrim anymore.

Still getting the incompatible hardware error... uninstalled Dell driver first and used Driver Sweeper as well. Where can I get the 12.4 driver without using the Mobility Utility?

So, I uninstalled Dell driver, went with Driver Sweeper, and then installed the 12.4 drivers and... my card isn't recognized. The driver seems to have installed fine but my pc is using the standard vga display. Any ideas?

Install 12.4 over the top of the dell drivers, not independently.

    Get the same incompatibility issue.

I'm stuck on my old driver for all eternity....

"alienware amd catalyst mobility cannot be downloaded due to incompatible hardware software on your computer."

    What gives?
since I bought this laptop I haven't been able to upgrade my graphics card. Always because of this error...

What is going wrong here :S

I have an HP , I just installed over the stock 8.9 driver and it worked fine, it did not work if i used driver sweeper and then installed 12.4, you have to over wright.

Do the direct download, Geocake posted it, don't get it from AMD's site. Install overtop of your preexisting drivers, and you should be good to go.

I used the drivers that Slickdude posted, but I prefer the official 12.4s.

Went from these to 12.4 installing new over previous with no problem (only audio/video drivers and media encoding stuff). Switchable graphics works.

    P14422 -> P14580 3dMark vantage points change.

Tried these drivers on my alineware M17x.
I got a blue screen of death during install.
After the reboot windows couldn't start up anymore and shuted itself down.
Tried a system restore. Didn't work.

So I rebooted again and sudenly it started up again.

Spo yea what the hell was that...
Isn't there a normal safe way to update a diver without the risk of destroying my whole laptop...

    Got AMD6900M

Not atm, though 7000 series has Enduro technology (AMD version of Optimus more or less ;-) ), hopefully it'll be also possible to install official AMD drivers, I haven't looked for any info about it though.

Most bluescreen-proof way might be disabling IGP with the modded bios. I'm hoping once I got latest drivers working, any update will not be a problem ;-)

I tried installing over the stock Dell drivers, the installation for 12.4 completes, but for some reason catalyst shows no changes made. It's as if nothing was installed, first time it's happened.

Hey guys running 5870 cf here. had dramas uninstalling 12.3 like 12.1 again. kept getting BSOD. had to restart in safe mode and do driver sweeper of all amd software/drivers etc. restarted and am installing 12.4 now.

fyi if every1 is wondering what happened to the 12.x CAP profiles rage3d doesnt seem to host them anymore you can get the 12.4 cap and all the rest at http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/Pages/crossfirex-app-profiles.aspx

im getting similar issues. but had to do complete uninstall in normal windows boot. then all i got was BSOD restart loops from windows login screen so i rebooted in safe mode. did CCleaner and Driver sweeper method. Restarted again. Confirmed that windows was clean. then booted in normal mode an installed mobility drivers with admin and worked like a charm. no dramas since. best drivers since 11.10 for me.

cf5870 here, after update the driver, CF enabled at Catalyst Centre, one card gets really really hot, card 1 gets 96degree, card 2 only 39 degree, when I play diablo 3 and it was not very smooth. and I use Radeon PRO to check, found the only one card working(one red bar), thats so strange. Tried SC2, BF2 same thing happened. just one card working.

Am getting flickers and stacking frames on Skyrim with 5870m cf enabled (AMD v12.4 drivers)
but with average 50FPS (indicated by FRAPS) on HIGH preset, 1920x1200.

Issue was fixed when using Badday's method. No more flickering.
But framerate drops to average 18FPS.

Best solution so far would still be the ALT-TAB method.
Which would give average 50FPS and no flickering.
Downside of the ALT-TAB method is you have to do it whenever an area change occurs

    Any permanent solution for this?
By that I mean without throttlestop or similar applications.

    ***EDIT***

    Found the solution,

Rename TESV.exe to another name, but not just any name,
    use fallout3.exe.
