Right-click on your desktop and select Catalyst Control Center. Select CrossfireX from the dropdown menu on top-left edge (Graphics) and make sure Crossfire is activated.

If you don't have the CrossfireX option in the drop down menu, you need to reinstall your video drivers.

Alternatively, you can check that your 2 GPUs are installed and functional by opening Device Manager (Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager).

Thirdly you can download GPU-Z and ensure that your system is running in crossfire.

Well, Steam seems to show me the same thing, when I click on "Help\System Information", and it even says "No SLI or Crossfire Detected". On my system, I know CF is working fine, and I get the CF Icon in the upper right corner (whenever I have it enabled, for checking a particular game) in every Steam game I have played on my M17x thus far. As long as you have CF enabled, and the icon displays when you are in-game, then I wouldn't really worry about it.

Not sure, though, why Steam does not recognize CF in the system info, especially when it is looking for it.
