ATI Driver Download(M17X R2)

Hey everyone,

I wanted to updated my ATI 5870 drivers to the new version, but the problem is that updating ATI drivers looks much more complicated than nVidia! What do I download from the ATI website the catalyst package or what?

I'm such a noob!

 

Global Provider of Innovative Graphics, Processors and Media Solutions | AMD choose "Notebook" , then "Radeon", then "Radeon 5xxx" then your OS. This will take you to the catalyst downloader. Download that, and it will download the appropriate driver package for you. In the future, for future updates you simply need to run the catalyst downloader .exe again to get the later versions. The http://game.amd.com website is for Desktop drivers.

 

You may also wish to update your graphics card vbios which is available via dell downloads here Dell - Drivers and Downloads assuming you dont have the latest vbios version installed anyway.

So do I have to download the VBIOS for the 10.12 update?
