I bought a eurocom 980M GTX (8GB) hardware IDs as follows:
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_13D7&SUBSYS_05AA1028&REV_A1
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_13D7&SUBSYS_05AA1028
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_13D7&CC_030000
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_13D7&CC_0300
If I install their modded driver (v353.06 onto a clean system - I used DDU) I get BSOD any time the nvidia GPU tries to render (e.g. gaming). I'm getting VIDEO_TDR_ERROR (STOP 0x116) every time.
I've tried various other modded drivers from the usual places (laptopvideo2go etc.) and also a couple from these forums (thanks to "Mr. Fox") but nothing works. Symptoms vary from failure to login, to system freezes and the aforementioned BSOD.
Has anyone else had success with this particular revision of the 980M and a 17 R5?
I'm running win7 x64 (ultimate) and my bios is A14. Chipset and intel gfx drivers are at the latest available from Dell.

What PSU do you have? 240w?

how is the GPU configured: are you trying to run it in dedicated mode or optimus mode? last i checked you can't run this card in dedicated mode with windows 7, you need to move to 8.1 at minimum to use dedicated mode.

The issue was win7: I had to upgrade to 8. Once I did that, the drivers were fine and the card worked. It's a very nice card

Thought as much. I bought a 980M from them and used it in the R1. No issues whatsoever.
Only problem might be Eurocom's modded 120Hz drivers - they weren't done correction and they modded the wrong file. But this is only the case if you're running in dedicated mode. -
Will work with Windows 10?
