Ever since setting custom fans on HWinfo and then deciding to revert back to system auto, my 4910mq has been throttling really bad. Ever since receiving this machine with the 4910mq I've been disappointed with it's performance and how hot it runs. Any advice on how i can get this CPU optimized would be helpful. I also have these setting on XTU https://puu.sh/jkqjJ/5f47e94456.png to make it run cooler.

Have you tried better thermal paste?

I have, I've used IC Diamond but im thinking of redoing the paste. Regardless with the 4910mq I've noticed core 2 is always 6-7 degrees hotter than all the others.

I read somewhere that some programs utilize certain cores, that's why there's a difference in temps.
Also it could be related to how you re-installed the heatsink/bracket. Applying un-even pressure on the 4 screws.

    Good luck.

My core 2 sometimes even 10c higher and most of the time it's carrying the heavy load so yours is normal.

What I did is utilizing a -45mV undervolt and repasting a veeery thin line of Gelid Extreme.

My CPU never gets past 80 on full load

Yeah I get that which is what also happens to mine. I went back and repasted and made sure I applied the same amount of pressure to the heatsink so it sits perfectly and so far my cores have been around the same temperature with core 2 being 3-4 degrees hotter but It hasn't gone past 80C so far.
