    AW Samsung SSD Can Update Firmware without messing up drive?

    Hey All,

    I have a 256GB Samsung HD that came as a replacement. I have never updated the firmware or as I know it drivers. I have tried to install the drivers from the AW site but it won't let me, as well have no clue how to do the firm ware update and if that will mess up my system.

    I am noticing not the greatest performance from the SSD and that it begins to really drag its after awhile. I hear all this stuff about Trim and Garbage collection but have no idea where to and what to start with.

    I am a total noob with this stuff. Should have I done something different when I formatted my computer? Its in ACHI mode now and I saw other topics say it should have been in RAID even though I use 1 SSD and 1 reg data drive...

    I feel so lost :( :(
