    AW problem - not starting up (VIDEO inside)

    What could this be? It won't boot and it makes this weird noise







    The sound is coming from here I think:

    And sometimes it simply doesn't make the annoying strange sound, but you can hear something spinning faster and faster and then booting into windows.


    Model m17x R3 with 6990m (and since im in the process of buying 780m, because 6990m died, this is really annoying as I can't test the cause of defect)

    Try to remove the dvd drive and then boot. Seems the drive is making that noise.

    Removed both HDD + SSD and its still stuck at the same screen

    oh lol, i just removed the dvd from dvd rom and I got the wierdest error because HDD and SSD arent in but yeah, seems like that was the problem loool

    Yep, your laptop was trying to boot from the ODD and that's what was holding up the boot process.
